As our fall season begins to transition into winter, and a much deserved Thanksgiving break is before us, I want to express my sincere gratitude to each and every member of the Alpine team. There are so many things to be grateful for like family, our freedom in America, a pink sunset dusting the top of Timpanogos, and so much more.
Gratitude can change the way we see the world. It can change the way we see each other. It may even change the way we see and respond to opportunities that lie before us.
Gratitude, when shared with others or given away, blesses both the giver of gratitude and the beneficiary or receiver of gratitude. It strengthens connection, invites individual happiness and builds a mindset of abundance.
An abundance mindset is more than saying thank you regularly. When intentionally cultivated, this abundant disposition enables good habits, enhances our appreciation of beautiful things and builds a spirit of contentment throughout ordinary or challenging times.
Thank you for seeing the good in our students. Thank you for making the extra effort to connect with one additional student. Thank you for supporting a colleague who is struggling in whatever way.
I hope each of you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by those you love. Get some rest. Find ways to relax, renew and recharge.
In the spirit of this season, and on behalf of Alpine School District, I wish you and your loved ones a Thanksgiving filled with peace, rest, and joyful moments. May we all take the time to recognize the good that surrounds us and return to our shared commitments refreshed and renewed.
Always Forward
